Automatic Shipping Notifications

When AutoDS updates the tracking number and fulfills all or part of an order on Shopify, the automatic shipping notifications on the Shopify end are not triggered. Typically, these get triggered automatically whenever an order is marked as fulfilled by a store user. This means that our customers are not receiving the update that their order has shipped or the tracking info. Instead, we have to copy the tracking info and manually send a shipping confirmation to the customer. This gets tedious and error-prone when each order may have multiple fulfillments and tracking numbers and it's time-consuming. It also defeats the purpose of having an automatic messaging feature in Shopify.

According to Shopify, the reason the automatic messages aren't going out is that AutoDS has the notify_customer parameter set to false in the API. If this were set to TRUE, the automatic messages would be triggered when you fulfill orders via your API with Shopify. This feels like a simple adjustment to your codebase and could be a simple option to set in settings for your users that would prefer to have automatic messaging.

I attached an image and put a link below, shared from Shopify, that should help. I can't imagine it's more than an hour of work to implement.
