Fair Product Import Limits: Stop Counting Variations as Separate Products

Currently, AutoDS counts each product variation (e.g., different colors or sizes) as a separate product in our import limits, even when variations are not split into individual products. This greatly reduces the number of unique products we can list, despite your pricing plan specifying limits in terms of products, not variations. I understand your backend system requires separate inventory tracking, pricing, and monitoring. that can be accomplished without penalising us

For example, if I want to sell one t-shirt in 5 colors and 5 sizes, AutoDS deducts 25 product slots instead of just 1, severely limiting the number of products I can import. This is especially problematic for sellers working with clothing, car parts, accessories, or other items with multiple variations.

Additionally, since AutoDS already charges auto credits per order, sellers are effectively being charged twice—once for importing variations as separate "products" and again for processing orders. This system penalizes sellers and makes it harder to scale.

Suggested Solution:
Count variations as part of a single product listing instead of treating them as separate products.
Allow an option to group variations so sellers can maximize their import limits.
Clearly define "products" vs. "variations" in your pricing plan to avoid confusion.

or Simply increase the product limitations to something we can work with.
This change would make AutoDS more seller-friendly and align your pricing model with how e-commerce platforms typically handle variations.

Looking forward to seeing this improvement!

P.s Guys , come on , you know the variation as a product just a shitty setup for anyone actually trying to use your app to build a business. One of your customers purchased the Advanced 4K and was only able to upload 800 products , the 3200 were eaten up by variations

I am confident the amount of clientale that you loose from this is more than you would loose if you adjusted this...ill give you an example, ive not had an active subscription on auto ds because i have about 80 products on my store , but if we count using variations its over 300...if products were counted as products id stick with Auto ds ( your software is great!) . However if you guys dont fix this then i'd go find a more reasonable software, my point is that if thats how i feel as a your customer , how many more people are leaving or not wanting to use auto ds just for this?
