“Import variant-specific sub-images when splitting variants into separate listings”
📄 Description:
In AutoDS settings, there is an option:
“Split Variants into Products – Products on the source site consisting of multiple variations will be uploaded as a single listing for each variant. For example, a single listing of a glove with five colors will be uploaded as five separate listings for each color on your store.”
Currently, when we use this option, only the first variant’s images (main + sub-images) are applied to all listings. The other variants only get their main image, and the sub-images are replaced with the first variant’s gallery.
This makes it difficult to sell products where each variant (color, style, pet type, etc.) has its own unique gallery.
Request:
Please allow AutoDS to import each variant’s full image set (main + sub-images) into its own separate listing when splitting. This would save time and avoid having to manually replace incorrect images.
Example:
Current AutoDS behavior: If a product has 5 variants (Cat, Dog, Rabbit, Mouse, Fish), AutoDS creates 5 separate listings, but each listing shows the Cat’s images (main + sub-images). The Dog, Rabbit, Mouse, and Fish variants lose their own sub-images and instead display Cat’s gallery.
Requested behavior: Splitting into 5 separate listings should create:
Cat listing with Cat images
Dog listing with Dog images
Rabbit listing with Rabbit images
Mouse listing with Mouse images
Fish listing with Fish images
This will make split listings more accurate and save a lot of manual editing.

Also, the "Item Specifications" is the same for all variants if the model for cat is cat, but for dog it says cat, for rabbit it says cat, etc...
