Currently, AutoDS only applies eBay fees at the order level when actual transaction data is received from eBay. When this data is delayed or unavailable, the eBay Fees field remains at $0, even though a configured fee percentage (e.g., 12.55%) exists.
This creates inconsistent and misleading profit tracking, as some orders reflect real fees while others temporarily show inflated profit due to missing fee values.
Suggested improvements:
1. Fallback Calculation:
When actual eBay fee data is not yet available, AutoDS should automatically calculate estimated fees using the configured percentage (e.g., Sale Price × Fee %).
2. Auto-Replacement:
Once real eBay fee data is received, the system should overwrite the estimated value with the actual fee.
3. Optional Setting:
Provide a setting to allow users to choose between:
- Using actual eBay fees only (current behavior), or
- Always using configured percentage-based fees for consistency
Use case:
For high-volume sellers, real-time profit accuracy is critical. The current behavior makes it difficult to evaluate profitability immediately after an order is placed, especially when some orders show $0 fees.
This feature would ensure consistent, reliable profit tracking across all orders.
